Within the PACCAR Parts logistics process, there was a need for a solution that would allow medium-weight products to be picked faster, more flexibly and with less physical strain. In cooperation with Crown Intern Transport, Habeload developed a modular lifting system for this purpose, fully integrated into a Crown order picker.
For PACCAR Parts, DAF Trucks' parts division, Habeload created a logistical handling solution that is fully tailored to the more efficient collection of medium-weight products. The modular lifting system was integrated into a GPC 3000 Crown order picker and is thus a practical and ergonomic extension to the existing order picking process.

The project was based on a clear logistical question: how can medium-weight products be picked faster, more ergonomically and more flexibly? In order to arrive at a well-functioning solution, a project team was put together with direct stakeholders from PACCAR Parts, Crown Intern Transport and Habeload. Based on this joint approach, the functional requirements of the system have been developed step by step.
During the design process, the solution was further refined based on progressive insight, practical experience and the evaluation of a first test unit. This resulted in a design that not only suited the way PACCAR Parts works, but could also be technically perfectly integrated into the Crown order picker. Safety played a central role in this. That is why the lifting system is linked to the control of the machine, so that the whole thing functions as one safe and user-friendly solution.
The end result is a fully integrated lifting system with immediate added value in the workplace. Employees can collect medium-weight products more efficiently, while reducing physical strain and increasing flexibility in the logistics process. In this way, the solution not only contributes to working ergonomically, but also to a more stable and smarter order picking process.
